7th and Last Transnational Meeting in Turkey

The MATH Project team at the door of the Ahmet Yesevi Hearing Impaired Primary School

The seventh and last Transnational meeting took place between 8th - 10th of May 2023 in Eskişehir, Turkey. The main aims of the meeting were to evaluate the results of the project and to prepare for the final conference.

First Day

We started the meeting by evaluating the project results in a workshop and identifying the missing components of the intellectual outputs. After that, participants visited the Education, Research and Application Center for Hearing Impaired Children (İƇEM) to gain firsthand experience and insights into their practices related to deaf children's education. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.

Finally, we visited Ahmet Yesevi Hearing Impaired Primary School to observe their educational practices and gain insights into the challenges faced by deaf students.

Second Day

The participants reviewed the dissemination activities conducted during the project and identified any areas that required further attention. The Ahmet Yesevi team delivered a presentation on their dissemination efforts. According to a preliminary report, the more than 80 dissemination actions of the project team, mainly in social networks and the media, had an impact of more than 23,000 views. We also engaged in discussions regarding the sustainability activities of the project, focusing on long-term plans and strategies and the Slovenian team presented their insights on sustainability activities through an online session.

In addition to individual dissemination actions by partners, the project was disseminated through our official social media:

In the afternoon, we embarked on a guided city tour to explore the cultural and historical heritage of the Odunpazarı district. The tour included visits to museums and other significant landmarks. In the evening, we gathered for the traditional social dinner to further strengthen their bonds and enjoy local cuisine. It was especially emotional and festive as it was the last dinner of the project team.

We closed the project with a visit the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of National Education, the coordinating institution of the project. A certificate ceremony was held to acknowledge the participants' contributions.
